Poetry Studio
at home in the world
ONLINE
Poetry Studio
Monthly, evenings
A hospitable space for new and experienced poets to come together to read poems in English and in translation to inspire writing. Focussing on the creative process rather than product – there is no element of critique.
Informal discussion on a theme provides an opportunity to reflect on individual poetics, and structured writing exercises are designed to seed new poems.
You will come away having experienced poems by poets familiar and new from around the world, as well as
the beginnings of 2-3 new poems
takeaways for further reading and writing
strategies to develop your work further
Online sessions take place on Zoom and last three hours with short breaks. Places are limited to keep the group small

YogaPoint (July—)
Round Table Books
Join us as we take action by paying attention — reading and writing in response to what is going on around us, close by and far away.
We will take inspiration from poets from around the world, to write our own poems that look closely, as only we can, at the world now.
This workshop is open to new and experienced writers of poetry, and anyone who is curious about writing as expression and discovery. You will leave having read and discussed contemporary poems, and begun your own poems of witness, in a supportive and nourishing group.
